On Wednesday, May 6, on our Patronal feast of St. George, our Rector, Archpriest Igor Tarasov performed a driving procession around the area of Bayside and Flushing. He was accompanied by our Warden, Olga Roussanow and our Sacristan, Andrew Malyshev. The Rector was carrying the icon of the Holy Great Martyr George. The stops were made at the four edges of the neighborhood and a short prayer service for the cessation of the death-bearing pestilence was performed at each stop. Fr. Igor also blessed the surroundings with the icon of our Patron Saint.
