On January 7th, on Christmas day, St. George’s parish family had a celebration of the Nativity of the Lord Jesus Christ. Priest Igor Tarasov served the Divine Liturgy. After the Gospel lesson he read the sermon of St. John Chrysostom on the Nativity. Following the Liturgy the Rector greeted all parishioners on the occasion of this great holy day.
Our Christmas celebration was continued at the Pier 25A restaurant nearby. During the luncheon the parishioners congratulated Fr. Igor on the occasion of his 23rd anniversary of priestly ordination and sang “Many years” (Mnogaya leta) for our Rector.
