Thomas Week is called this day in memory of the miracle of the assurance of the Apostle Thomas, on whom Christ’s death on the cross made a strong impression. He seemed to be firmly convinced that His loss was irrevocable. To the disciples’ assurances about the Resurrection of Christ, he replies: “Unless I see the wounds of the nails in His hands and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” On the eighth day after the Resurrection, the Lord appeared to the Apostle Thomas, showing him His wounds, answering his unspoken request. Christ added: “And do not be an unbeliever, but a believer.” Did Thomas really feel the wounds of the Lord, but faith kindled in him and he exclaimed: “My Lord and my God!” With these words, Thomas confessed not only faith in the Resurrection of Christ, but also faith in His Divinity.

Фоминой неделей называется этот день в воспоминание о чуде уверения апостола Фомы на которого крестная смерть Христа произвела сильное впечатление. Он словно утвердился в убеждении, что утрата Его невозвратна. На уверения учеников о Воскресении Христа он отвечает: “Если не увижу на руках Его ран от гвоздей и не вложу руки моей в ребра Его, не поверю”. На восьмой день после Воскресения Господь явился апостолу Фоме, показав ему Свои раны, ответив на его невысказанную просьбу. Христос прибавил: “И не будь неверующим, но верующим”. Осязал ли действительно Фома язвы Господа, но так вера возгорелась в нем и он воскликнул: “Господь мой и Бог мой!”. Этими словами Фома исповедал не только веру в Воскресение Христово, но и веру в Его Божество.

The celebration of the patronal feast continued in our church, which was attended by Hegumen Nikodim (Balyasnikov), Archpriest Mikhail Kapchits, Priest Mark Rashkov, Priest Dmitry Sukhorukov and Protodeacon Igor Panachev. It was joyful to see a large number of clergy with their families, guests and our parishioners who took part in the festive liturgy, cross procession and festive picnic. Special thanks to our regent and the guest singers, whose singing graced our service.

В нашем храме продолжилось празднование престольного праздника, на котором присутствовали  Игумен Никодим (Балясников), Протоирей Михаил Капчиц, Иерей Марк Рашков, Иерей Дмитрий Сухоруков  и Протодиакон Игорь Паначев. Радостно было видеть большое количество духовенства с семьями, гостей и наших прихожан, принявших участие в праздничной литургии, крестном ходе и праздничном пикнике. Особое спасибо нашему регенту и гостям певчим, чьим пением была украшена наша служба.

In our church a festive liturgy was held dedicated to the patronal holiday – the day of remembrance of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious. Father Zosima, one of the abbots of our church in the past, came to visit us.
We magnify you, the passion-bearing holy great martyr and victorious George, and we honor your honest suffering, which you endured for Christ.

В нашем храме состоялась праздничная литургия посвященная престольному празднику – дню памяти Святого Великомучиника Георгия Победоносца. К нам в гости пришел отец Зосима, один из настоятелей нашего храма в прошлом.
Величаем тя, страстотерпче святый великомучинече и победоносче Георгие, и чтим честная страдания твоя, яже за Христа претерпел еси.

Easter hours, Great Easter Vespers were held in our new church. After the service, Easter baskets were blessed and an Easter picnic took place, for which Father Rodion prepared festive pilaf.

Пасхальные часы, Великая пасхальная вечерня была проведена в нашем храме. После службы было освящение пасхальных корзин и состоялся пасхальный пикник, для которого отец  Родион приготовил праздничный плов.

A festive service with a procession took place in our church. During the service, Father Rodion and the congregation took turns reading the Gospel in different languages ​​- Russian, English, Spanish, Polish and Greek. Special thanks to our regent Lily and our guest Vera for the wonderful singing.

В нашем храме прошла праздничная служба с крестным ходом. На службе отец Родион и прихожане поочереди читали Евангелье на разных языках – русском, английском, испанском, польском и греческом. Особое спасибо нашему регенту Лили и нашей гостье Вере за прекрасное пение.

Vespers with Liturgy took place in our church. After the service there was the blessing of Easter baskets.

В нашем храме состоялась Вечерня с Литургией. После службы было освящение пасхальных корзин.

On Friday, on the evening of Holy Saturday, the holy shroud is taken out of the atlar and placed in the center of the church – in the “coffin” – an elevation decorated with flowers as a sign of grief over the death of Christ. Until the late evening of Holy Saturday, the Holy Shroud is in the temple so that everyone can venerate it.

В пятницу на вечерней Великой субботы, святую плащеницу выносят из атларя и устанавливают в центре храма – во “гробе”- возвышении, украшенном цветами в знак скорби о сметри Xриста. До позднего вечера Великой субботы святая Плащеница находится в храме, чтобы ей могли все поклониться.

On Thursday we remembered the Last Supper, during which the Lord established the sacrament of the Eucharist and washed the feet of his disciples, the betrayal of Judas and prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. In the evening, a service took place in our church. The priest and the congregation took turns going out into the middle of the church, as if into the Garden of Olives, and reading the twelve Passion Gospels.

В четверг мы вспоминали о Тайной вечери, во время котрой Господь установил таинство Евхаристии и омыл ноги своим ученикам, о предательстве Иуды и о молении в Гефсиманском саду. Вечером в нашем храме состоялась служба. Батюшка и прихожание по очереди выходили на середину храма, точно в Элеонский сад, и читали двенадцать Страстных Евангелий.
